The Princess of the Furrow program is for girls ages 12-16 to learn leadership skills and act as an ambassador for agriculture across the county. The princess works alongside the queen and they usually attend events together.
The Princess program is a great opportunity for young women to expand their knowledge and skills as well as setting them up for potential scholarships.
To compete for the position of Princess of the Furrow, each participant must present a 2-3 minute speech about a topic of agriculture of their choosing. Plowing is not required for princess contestants.
The competition takes place at our annual branch match in the fall.
Our Princess for 2025/2026 is Kate Wassink of Palmerston.
